Calcinaia

Calcinaia is the headquarters of the Barattolo Project. The family home of three of our founders, it is an organic farm on the hills of Siena, Tuscany. The farm produces grapes, and olive oil, as well as endless produce and fruit from our garden and orchards. Calcinaia has been in Jole, Irene, and Giordano’s family for many generations – it used to be the farmhouse of a nearby Villa, and it hosted many farming families over the years. The house has been renovated respecting its past, and enhancing its rural features. Part of the old building is our home, and the other is a farmstay, or agriturismo, where you can immerse yourself in the beautiful surroundings, and connect with the past.
